friday finds

I was kind of bummed that I was too busy last weekend to take advantage of all the great Labor Day sales, but in my search this week I found there are still some good finds to be had!
1 | large saturn rack from Furbish (was $38, now $28)
2 | cotton and linen pom pom curtain from ZaraHome (was $90, now $20)
4 | marble and brass wall shelf from CB2 (was $60, now $48)

You may have noticed I've been switching my name over on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook where I am now @SCG_Interiors. I've been busy working on a new website and name that I hope to reveal soon!

living room drapery

After searching forever to find the right shade of blue for the drapes in our living room, I think I've finally found something that will work. I haven't been able to get this Lonny image out of my head. It is exactly what I want our drapes to look like, but everything I was finding was too grayed-out or too bright.
I've finally settled on these blue velvet drapes from PBteen. The clearance price tag and free shipping helped make the decision a little easier, too.
They should be here shortly, and I'll be posting our completed living room as soon as they are up!

bedroom reveal

I can finally check our bedroom off the to-do list! It's pretty similar to our room in our last apartment, but I added a few more details like a sitting area, pom-pom curtains, and a new bookshelf.
Remember when I was deciding on a ceiling fan? I love the one we chose.
These curtains might just be my favorite thing in here. My wonderful mother-in-law helped me put these together.
We added some colorful knobs to update our Ikea dresser. We're eventually going to replace this, but I'm waiting to find something I really love.
I used this mirror to try to hide an ugly breaker box. I've never seen one of these in the bedroom, especially in the middle of a wall! #designprobs
I added a cute little bookshelf to fill in this open space, and it also gave me a spot to display some of our pretties.
Our laundry room is also complete and will be revealed on Hillary Thomas' blog soon!
