instagram updates

I had originally planned to share a yummy recipe with you today, but our computer with Photoshop is on the fritz, and I have to wait until it gets fixed later this week so I can edit the photos. Until then, here are a few instas from this weekend!
I made a little cotton ball banner to celebrate our two year (cotton) anniversary.
Received some lovely flowers from my man, plus he sewed me (yes, hand sewed) an adorable calendar in our wedding colors with our wedding date to look like our save the dates. I'm also getting curtains which will finally finish our decor!
I can never get enough of this sweet face.
I took a trip to HomeGoods and scored the BEST geode bookends. I walked away without this guy, but am going back for him this week. He's cute and creepy at the same time and I think I need him.
I'm dying over these agate wind chimes. Really, anything agate/geode is my jam.
I normally despise any art you find at mass retailers, but I think this one might be pretty in our bedroom.
We were offered a free brewery tour and tasting from Deep Ellum Brewery, and duh, we totally took it!
We discovered a wonderfully cute tex-mex spot in our neighborhood. They lined the patio with patron bottles filled with twinkle lights. Nothing is better than a margarita under twinkle lights. Nothing.
Our art for above the sofa has arrived. I need to raise it a little, but I'm in love!
How was your weekend?

thunderbird hotel (road trip pt. 2)

While in Marfa we stayed at the Thunderbird Hotel. We went back and forth between this hotel and El Cosmico, but ultimately decided we wanted air conditioning and an indoor shower in the middle of the desert. I'm glad we made this choice because we loved it.
I almost bought this colorful Frasada while we were there, and now I'm kicking myself, because it's exactly what I want at the foot of our bed.
I loved every detail of this place. You better believe that I stole the pencils and stationary.
Posters were hung up throughout the hotel from previous concerts and events in Marfa.
Loving the all white bathroom, and especially because there were good toiletries. I hate hotel toiletries and usually have to bring my own, but not this time.
Our cute little blue chair outside of our room.
I didn't get a pic of the pool, but here is one from their website.
Just a mirror picture. nbd. If you can see from the picture even the light bulbs in this place were cool. They had these everywhere in Marfa, and now I'm obsessed.
I so hope we have a reason to make it down to Marfa again. We loved our time here.
Tomorrow I'll post pictures from our second stop, Carlsbad, NM.
