fair

Charlie had the day off yesterday, so we made it out to the Texas state fair since I had never been before. Charlie enjoyed a corny dog, I had a yummy veggie taco, a fried oreo, and a couple of bites of Charlie's fried pizza. Yes, a slice of pizza... fried. I like to tell myself that I walked it all off. We also rode the ferris wheel and some crazy, spinny, upside down thing that this old lady can't handle very well anymore. We had fun :)

road trip

This weekend we went to Little Rock to see one of my favorite bands, Blind Pilot, play. We had originally bought tickets to see them in Dallas, but Charlie's schedule in San Fran overlapped and we had to miss it. He suggested a road trip to Arkansas since it would be the next closest city they would be playing at. The concert was fantastic, but I don't think we will ever be returning to Arkansas. Charlie and I felt like we stuck out like a sore thumb, and even downtown Little Rock felt like a small country town. Luckily, because it was so small we were able to meet both bands and get their autographs while they were hanging out in a bar. That definitely would not have happened in Dallas.

fall

I'm in a holiday mood today. Even though I just put up our fall decorations a couple of weeks ago, I already want to bust out the Christmas decorations!
That is a picture of the very first pumpkin that Charlie and I carved together our junior year in high school. We were only 16!
Check out that "boo" sign that I found at Target for only $1!
I got this FREE printable here.
My cute owl that I scored for $4 at World Market. I found it in the Halloween section, but I think I'll keep him around all year.
I made our fall centerpiece out of a bag of pumpkins from Wal-mart and some glittery pine cones that I got on clearance from Target a couple of years ago after Christmas!
