hip hip hooray!

Hello! I hope you had a fabulous New Year's. I always love seeing January 1st show up on the calendar. I love the feeling of a fresh start and it's such an exciting time to set goals and imagine the possibilities for the future.
I'm spending all day today setting goals for myself and my business over the next year. I'll be sharing soon!

2013 recap

2013 has definitely been a life-changing year for me. I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store! Here are a few of the highlights:

January: I started my year off with this quote as my inspiration. I never dreamed how far it would take me!
February: We took a road trip around DFW and I officially made the decision to quit my career as a teacher and go into interior design.
March: We celebrated 11 wonderful years together.
April: Our living room, bedroom, and dining room were featured by West Elm.
May: We moved into our lovely new home.
June: We celebrated two years of marriage!
July: I made my dream job happen and began taking on interior design clients.
August: I got my first sister-in-law!
September: I went back to school for interior design,
and welcomed another sweet sister-in-law to the family.
October: I celebrated my 28th birthday,
and joined Kufri Life Fabrics as a stylist and marketing assistant.
December: I completed my first semester of design school with a 4.0, and had the most wonderful Christmas holiday to date!
Bring it on 2014!

Next week I'll be sharing a few of my goals for 2014. What are you most looking forward to in the new year?

christmas home tour

I can't let the season go by without sharing some photos of our place decked out for the holidays!
This view every day makes me so happy. You just can't be in a bad mood with colorful twinkle lights.
I made both of these wreaths for less than $20, when I found something similar I loved for $50/each!
My new favorite ikat pillow from Kufri Life!
Glitter on top of glitter - it's why this is my favorite time of the year.
Have you posted your home decorated for the holidays on your blog, instagram, or twitter? Make sure to share a link in the comments - I'd love to see the fab spaces my readers have put together for the holidays!
