marfa, TX (road trip pt. 1)

Here are just a few of our pictures from the first stop on our road trip, Marfa, Texas.
Food shark food truck
All of my falafel  and hummus dreams came true at this place.
Prada, Marfa. It was so far out in the middle of nowhere that when you got out of the car the silence was almost deafening. This was a really cool experience.

Outside our hotel, the Thunderbird. I have a whole post coming on this place!

Trying to find the marfa mystery lights. I was super excited when they appeared for us about an hour later.
Planet Marfa bar. This place has a tepee in the middle!

Museum of Electric Wonders and Late Night Grilled Cheese Parlour (really, that's the name of this place). It was the best grilled cheese of my life, and I know my grilled cheese!
Eating our grilled cheese in the food shark dining car.
Squeeze Marfa for a super delicious breakfast
This is the only place in the United States you can buy this Swiss chocolate.
It'll cost you $13.50 a bar, but it was so worth it!

I'll have more of our road trip tomorrow. We took over 500 pictures, so it'll take more than one post!

Also, sadly (and not surprisingly) I gained weight on our trip. I'm starting back on Eat to Live today, and I'm determined to make it through the whole six weeks this time!
